It is Important that you read the following :
In these matters the term ‘Owner’ shall mean the person(s) wishing to re-home or part with a Mastiff through the offices of the Mastiff Re-homing Scheme and the term ‘Adopter’ shall mean the person(s) wishing to acquire or home Mastiffs made available through the offices of the Mastiff Re-homing Scheme.
The Old English Mastiff Club and its agents does not accept responsibility or liability for any Mastiff placed on or homed via its Mastiff Re-homing Scheme or Mastiff Re-homing Web page(s).
The Old English Mastiff Club and its agents have the right to decline acceptance of any dog into its Re-homing Scheme, without stating a reason.
Similarly, The Old English Mastiff Club and its agents reserve the right not to accept an applicant as a potential home for a Mastiff placed onto this scheme, without stating a reason.
The Old English Mastiff Club’s function within its Mastiff Re-homing Scheme is to act through its agents only as ‘Broker’ by bringing the owner’s details of Mastiffs requiring re-homing to the attention of those wishing to adopt such a dog and by putting persons who express the desire to home a Mastiff in contact with the dog‘s owner
As such The Old English Mastiff Club or its agents can not handle, board, treat, carry or in any way be directly responsible for dogs placed on its Re-homing Scheme.
The contact details of those persons placing dogs on the Mastiff Re-homing Scheme Web pages will not be made public, but by necessity owners of such dogs agree their (the owner’s) personal contact details will be passed to prospective homes/adopters who wish to adopt such Mastiffs
There is a compulsory requirement that any person placing a Mastiff or Mastiffs on the Re-homing Scheme declares clearly and truthfully as part of the dog’s description the nature and degree of any health or temperament problems the dog(s) may have and that such persons understand that only pure bred Mastiffs will be accepted into the Mastiff Re-homing Scheme.
It is the responsibility of such persons to be aware of, or to establish that such dogs are pure bred Mastiffs.
Equally, future adopters of such dogs are required to describe and promote themselves factually as suitable potential homes for Mastiffs.
Owners bear the sole responsibility for satisfying themselves and assessing that the potential adopter is a suitable person living in circumstances conducive to the humane and acceptable care of a Mastiff. In these matters, the Old English Mastiff Club or its agents will not in any way be liable or responsible for the agreements or arrangements that transpire between owners and adopters.
The responsibility and any liability for the dog(s) or for matters transacted between owners and adopters is accepted solely by the owner and/or the adopter. In all these things owners and adopters agree to accept and abide by the stated terms and obligations of the Mastiff Re-homing Scheme.
